About the role

As a per diem Respiratory Therapist, you assess and treat patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary needs on the shifts you choose. Per diem work gives you the flexibility to pick up shifts around your life while building experience with a respected hospital team.

What you’ll do

• Set up, monitor and adjust ventilators, high-flow and non-invasive support
• Deliver aerosol treatments, airway clearance and oxygen therapy
• Draw and analyse arterial blood gases
• Respond to rapid responses and codes as part of the care team

Shift times available

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST
• 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM CST

Shift times include a 30-minute unpaid break. Your recruiter will share exact dates and help you book the shifts you want.

Requirements

• RRT or CRT credential (NBRC)
• Active Respiratory Care license for Illinois
• Current BLS certification; NRP a plus
• At least 1 year of recent acute-care experience
