Job Overview
JLK Global Staffing Solutions is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri. This position provides speech and language services to students while supporting their educational and developmental needs through Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and collaboration skills and a passion for helping students improve their speech, language, communication, and overall participation in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services to students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Deliver speech and language therapy in accordance with established IEP requirements.
- Monitor and document student progress toward speech and language goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, school administrators, families, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical and educational documentation.
- Provide recommendations and strategies to support students’ communication and learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff to promote effective communication and student participation in the classroom.
- Follow applicable school, state, and professional standards for speech-language services.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain the required state credential.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based speech-language services.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
