As a School Nurse, you will promote the health, safety, and well-being of students by providing nursing care, responding to medical needs, managing chronic health conditions, and collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student success.

Compensation

Registered Nurse (RN) – $55–$65 per hour (W-2)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – $38–$42 per hour (W-2)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students during school hours.
• Assess and manage student illnesses and injuries.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, parents, and healthcare providers.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and state nursing regulations.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Previous pediatric, school, or community health experience preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS Certification.
• School nursing or pediatric experience preferred but not required.
