Job Summary

JLK Global Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a qualified and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to support an acute care hospital in Welch, West Virginia under a State of West Virginia healthcare contract.

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care services to patients experiencing breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves performing patient assessments, administering oxygen therapy, managing ventilators, and responding to respiratory emergencies within a hospital environment.

This is an open-ended contract assignment offering competitive pay, weekly compensation, and the potential for long-term placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory medications as prescribed
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and life-support equipment
• Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Respond to emergency respiratory situations including code responses and airway management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare safety regulations and infection control standards
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and treatments when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Active West Virginia Respiratory Therapy License
• Current CPR Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current PALS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of hospital or acute care experience
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Experience working in acute care hospital environments
• Familiarity with ventilator management and critical care patients
